Waste Heat Recovery
Recovering wasted energy to improve energy performance
Home > Industries > Decarbonization > Waste Heat Recovery
In many industrial processes, a significant share of the energy consumed is inevitably lost as heat. Whether discharged into ambient air, wastewater, or flue gases, this waste heat is often left unexploited — yet it represents a valuable energy resource, immediately available and at zero cost.
At FE by France Evaporation, we support industrial operators in recovering these energy losses by designing tailored solutions to capture, transfer, and reuse this heat within their processes or redirect it to other end users. The result: a direct reduction in primary energy consumption, a significant decrease in CO₂ emissions, and lasting financial savings.
Range of applications
Our solutions cover a broad spectrum of thermal waste streams, across all industrial sectors:
- Industrial flue gases and vapors at high or medium temperature (dryers, heat treatment systems, food processing, textiles, pulp & paper, etc.)
- Hot process water or heating/cooling baths (cleaning lines, chemical processes, cooling systems)
- Hot air discharges from drying, baking, or condensation processes (ovens, incinerators, etc.)
- Heat from refrigeration or ventilation equipment (chillers, cooling towers, adiabatic cooling networks, compressors)
Heat recovery and redistribution loops
We design closed or semi-open energy loops, integrated into your existing infrastructure, enabling recovered heat to be reinjected wherever it is needed: water or air preheating, process heating, building HVAC, and more.
The objective: maximizing overall energy efficiency (high COP) while minimizing supplementary energy input.
